It feels like Valentine’s Day really snuck up on us this year! It’s only a few days away and we wanted to share some really fun and different ideas for every situation.
There are so many way to celebrate this special day, whether that be with your significant other, a friend, or a lovely night with yourself! We’ve got you covered...
DINNER CRITICS FOR THE NIGHT
For this one, you go to a restaurant and just pretend to be food critiques like on Top Chief or Beat Bobby Flay. How fun?? This allows for so much creativity and interaction between couples or friends. You get to act however you want with each other and judge the food, while having a great time and enjoying the company. I hope you guys have fun with this one and eat the best food!
SPA NIGHT (TREAT YOURSELF)
This one is for anyone and everyone on Valentine’s Day. Grab some essential oils, a facial mask, bath salts and a book – and you’ve just created the most relaxing environment! Grab a partner or do this with yourself and get your self-care on! It’s so easy to let the stress of everyday life get to you and it’s important to recognize that you need to care for yourself and the ones around you. Make this special day all about you and/or your S.O.
LAY OUT LOOKING AT THE STARS
This might be one of my favorite things to do on a daily basis! The stars bring out such a curiosity in me and I think it’s such a special moment to share with others or by yourself. Grab a cozy outfit and a blanket and you are good to go. You can look for constellations, pick your favorite star, or find the brightest one. It is recommended to go somewhere that has little to no light so you can experience the beautiful night sky in its full glory. Happy star hunting!
MAKE AN EXTRVAGENT DINNER AT HOME
Making your own fancy dinner can be so challenging and rewarding! You get the chance to play around with different foods and spices to whip up something delicious. I always go on Pinterest for recipe ideas, and this would be no different! Pinterest has everything you need to begin making your fancy feast. Run to the market and get cookin!
GO SOMEWHERE YOU’VE NEVER BEEN
This idea brings out the adventurous and creative side of people! It’s easy to go places you have already been and know you love, but not so easy picking a brand new place to visit or explore. You can ask friends for ideas, go on Yelp, or just drive around until you find the place you want to explore. It doesn’t have to be extravagant if you don’t want – the whole point is to go outside your comfort zone and spark a curiosity in yourself!
PICK 5 RANDOM SPOTS TO VISIT THAT DAY
This one can be places you have been to or have never been to! It gives you a chance to have a fun filled day with a mixture of places you know and love and maybe a little bit of unknown places! If you are a couple doing this, one partner can pick 2-3 places and the other can pick the rest! There is so much room for mystery and surprises.
DRIVE IN MOVIE
I feel like a drive-in movie is the ultimate romantic date – and Oregon has some of the best near Portland! You can snuggle up in the comfort of your own vehicle and watch a movie on the big screen - such a 50’s vibe! You could go to a regular movie theater, but why not search around for the perfect drive-in theater? So much more fun!
HIKE AND PICNIC
This one is simple, yet so perfect. For those active peeps out there, hiking up to your favorite spot on a mountain and setting up for a picnic is beautiful. Nothing but the company of yourself, or your significant other / friends, and the serene view of the mountains. I don’t know about you, but this would be my choice for Valentine’s Day - or any day really!
We have put together three different outfits to fit whatever your Valentine's Day plans are...
Who doesn’t love a dainty slip dress? This Cotton Candy LA slip is so flattering and falls seamlessly down your body. And this coat is just something else! The Free People faux fur coat will for sure keep you warm and add a little sass to your oufit! Pair it with some strappy heels or thigh high boots and you are all set for the night!
This Cotton Candy LA two piece set is to die for! You can dress it up or down and can be made for the most fitting casual outfit for V Day. This chili color is so cute – but we also have this set in cocoa! Bonus: top and bottom can be worn separately as different outfits for a different look! To top off the look, add a cardi for some extra warmth like this Hem & Thread one!
We love a good cozy night in and this Project Social T long sleeve is as cozy as it gets! The material is soft and fits in all the right places. Pair it with your comfiest leggings and fuzziest socks for your night and you won’t want to leave the house!
